For Cats

Ten, like every cat. The breed finally has a study of its own, and it corrects two things the breed pages have been telling you.

Ten, like every cat. Three published lifespan figures for the breed disagree with each other, and here is why all three are right.

Ten, like every cat. Nobody has measured this breed, but the registries define it as a Persian in all but coat, and the Persian record is good.

Ten, like every cat. But this breed appears in no veterinary dataset at all, and the 15 to 20 year figure you have seen is not a measurement.

Ten, the same as every other cat. The largest common breed is no exception, and nobody has ever tested whether size matters in cats. The weight curve turns at seven.

Cats get an actual number, unlike dogs. It is ten. The stage just before it is the one almost nobody writes about, and it is where most of the useful years sit.
